No Need JavaScript and don't use JavaScript to blink text because it's not needed. The only reason to invoke JavaScript is if JavaScript starts or stops blinking. There is an old blink tag. It was ineffective and denied. I strongly recommend doing something with CSS like the working example above. Text decoration types that are generally recommended not to use include glowing text. Flashing colors and jumping animations, such as those that make the page difficult to read, are considered an obscene effect.
